Annapurna Base Camp Trek – 9 Days

Get yourself a spot on either flight or the drive to Pokhara which takes up little time. The flight allows one to get a bird's-eye view of the Annapurna Range, while the drive boasts a more intimate experience with the rural life of Nepal. Once there, settle down in your hotel room, and if you want to, the side streets with the Lakeview are open to you for the tour in the evening.

Drive through rice terraces and zig-zag downhill to the trickling Kimrong Khola and occasionally, at times, get hit by the falling water. There is a bridge ahead of you. You will walk uphill through the stone steps that lead you to Chhomrong, a Gurung village. The views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Peak) are breathtaking.

Go down on some steep stone steps, cross the Chhomrong Khola and later on get through an uphill trek via oak, bamboo, and rhododendron trees. Later, take a comfortable stroll comprising a grassy decline and reach Bamboo which is a group of small tea houses.

Descend to the bamboo forest and set your eyes on the glacial river which is dividing the valley. Then, go and stop at the Hinku Cave too before climbing to Deurali, which is a small abode in the area where the temperatures will drop as altitude increases.

Firstly, by descending to reach the glacial river and later crossing Machhapuchhre Base Camp, you will arrive at the Annapurna Base Camp, which is an area surrounded by glaciers and the Annapurna Massif. This place is considered to belong to the Annapurna Sanctuary and it provides the kind of sight that triggers host of sensations in viewers through the beauty of mountains.

Waking up early, you can see the beautiful Annapurna peaks bathed in the first rays of the sun. Next, wander around the Annapurna Sanctuary before you slide down to Bamboo. The long trek is one of the best places to see Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre, which rise to the sky from the green mossy lands.

Trek for the day, ascending Siwai, through terraced fields and traditional farms.
In Siwai, drive it back from there to Pokhara, and then the rest of the time you can use the city's park or in a peaceful time at Phewa Lake.

Photo or journey by road will take you from Kathmandu back to Kathmandu where you can relax or visit the city.
You can spend the last two days in Kathmandu relaxing or exploring further. Moreover, you can even hunt for souvenirs or visit the main spots before saying goodbye to your guide.
